Who are our Shariah advisors?
- Hanafi scholar - name published with the fatwa
- Shafi'i scholar - name published with the fatwa
- Maliki scholar - name published with the fatwa
Quick answer
Bilen Utan Riba's contracts have been reviewed and approved by three independent Shariah scholars (Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki). The fatwa is public and downloadable. If you or your imam find a genuine Shariah issue within 30 days of signing, we refund the deposit in full and unwind the contract at no cost.
The four Sunni schools agree on the core principle that riba is haram but differ in technical detail (when ownership transfers, which conditions require explicit agreement, how late payments are handled). Including three schools on the same contract reduces the risk that a future scholar rejects the structure on a technicality. Conservative, more expensive for us, safer for you.
The full fatwa, signed by all three scholars, is published on our site. Download it, show it to your local imam, or send it to an independent scholar for review. We have nothing to hide.
If you identify a genuine Shariah issue in the contract within 30 days of signing, we will:
One condition: the issue must be verified by an independent scholar, not be a matter of personal preference.
We follow AAOIFI Shariah Standards No. 8 (Ijarah) and No. 9 (Ijarah Muntahia Bittamleek), and FAS 32 for accounting. AAOIFI is the global reference for Islamic finance.
